The future of AV lights up Integrate in Sydney

As Australia heralds its first 4K consumer channel, the audio- visual sector’s annual Australian exhibition, Integrate, is poised to showcase emerging interactive technologies that are transforming the business and consumer sectors.

Innovation in health, entertainment, education the IoT and retail will be driving conversations and forecasts for future. Featuring over 1000 brands will be present including Panasonic, LG, NEC, Philips, Ricoh, CombiTel,  Crestron, Extron, Barco, Sony, Microsoft, PolyComm, Harman, Logitech, Plantronics and Samsung.

The Integrate 2018 education program will offer over 100 different seminars and workshops with key sessions including Neal French the Head of Chrome and Android Division Google Cloud Asia discussing how to deliver outstanding digital retail experiences.

The future of Amazon’s Alexa will be canvassed by Kate Burleigh of Amazon Skills at the ANZ while Mitchell Long from PHD reveals the latest in voice driven artificial intelligence.

Cameron Douglas from Connected Vision discusses the workplace of the future and its impact on employees.

The conference also features insights from Biamp President, Rashid Skaf, Creston APAC CEO, Stuart Craig and consultant Peter Coman who will to discuss AV’s place in the future enterprise in a new InAVate program.  announced for Integrate 2018.

Sony will be taking the 4k conversation out of the living room and into the operating room withBrad Hanrahan, Group Manager Business Solutions at Sony Electronics.AV for healthcare is a major vertical for Sony, including the NUCLeUS platform for operating theatres and the Stellar Vision system for hospital wards.

But whilst 4K is common in home TV systems, for many hospitals it still remains a future goal. Hanrahan stares, “at this point in time, 4K is the cutting edge for healthcare and it’s rare in operating theatres. Surgeons who enjoy 4K screens in their homes, understandably want to know why they can’t have them in the operating theatre as well.”

Sony’s NUCLeUS platform is a digital operating theatre control platform that assists clinicians during surgery.It’s AV over IP-based system increases ergonomics by showing visual data in front of the surgeons, while retaining all digitised information centrally. It is also a data management tool and archiving solution, and it integrates with all operating room devices. The platform is installed in some 400 healthcare environments globally mainly in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

The software launched in Australia last year.

This upsurge of AV technology in healthcare is providing the environment essential to making critical medical decisions.

Integrate will take place across the 22-24 August at the International Convention Centre Sydney.
